Horses and Medical Museum

We had a great weekend.

Saturday we started out by going to breakfast at Cricket. After that we drove up to Auburn to visit some friends. We got some ice cream in old town there, and then visited the GOLD COUNTRY MEDICAL HISTORY MUSEUM in Auburn. This was a fun museum that is free to visit. It was in operation during the Gold Rush. I was able to see some of the instruments that they used at that time. Some of them seamed barbaric. This included shocking patients and drinking formaldehyde. This museum is growing and worth visiting if you want something free to do.

After visiting the museum, we went and ran some errands. One of them including going to a feed store. At that store we saw baby chickens for sale. We were holding them. Then we drove to their home and hung out with the horses. We took the horses for a walk up the street and back. I don't have much experience with horses, but and grateful that I can now get the exposure.

Sunday we ended up going to church. Afterwards we went to another friends home for brunch. Great times - great friends. The rest of the day was just about relaxing.

Living for the weeking. I am glad this is only a four day week.

Deer, Hiking, Great weekend

I had a great weekend. Went up to stay the weekend at a friend's house up in the Sierras. There we watched movies, played games, and checked out the deer and the horses that live there.

The second day we went up the hill even more and hiked Euchre Trail. We went way down a canyon until we got to the American River. We played in the river a bit, a bit and then finished hiking back up the canyon. Enjoy the videos from the weekend.

Monday night I upgraded my 10 gallon aquarium to a 29 gallon. Last night my dog Dottie was checking out the fish and going crazy over them. Here is a video of her last night. Be sure to click "HD" on the botton right of video to see it in High Definition.

Sierra Buttes Adventure

I had a great time this weekend. I snuck up to the Sierra Buttes where I visited Packer Lake, Lower Sardine Lake, and went to the start of the trail to hike up to the lookout. Next time I will make it to the lookout. We had lunch at Bassetts. Below are some videos I shot of the adventure. Once you play a video, you can click "HD" on the bottom right of the video to get High Resolution.
