We had a great Sunday. We started with driving up to Jackson and eating cheeseburgers. We then drove to Grinding Rock State Park in Pine Grove. At the park we started by visiting at musuem, and seeing some of the native american artifacts. We also got to hear about how some of the parks are going to be affected by closures.
After the museum, we walked over to the huge rock that had over 1,000 Grinding Holes that the native americans ground up acorns and seeds in. Some of these dated back 2,000 to 3,000 years.
Then we checked out the village, and took photos of ourselfs in some of the dwellings.
We then hiked around keeping a careful eye out for rattlesnakes. Luckly we did not run across any. To reward ourselves for the days adventures, we went out for ice cream afterward. Yummm. Got to love the weekends.
